Website Accessibility

Many efforts and resources have been invested in making this website accessible, with the aim of enabling most users to browse it easily and comfortably, and to make it more available for persons with disabilities.

Local Port joins the overall effort to make websites accessible for people with special needs and is committed to improving accessibility on an ongoing basis.

This website is intended to comply with the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations — Accessibility Adjustments for Service, 2013.

The accessibility adjustments were carried out according to the recommendations of the Israeli Standard for Web Content Accessibility, IS 5568, at Level AA, which is based on the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines — WCAG 2.0.

Please note that despite our efforts to make all pages of the website accessible, some parts of the website may not yet be fully accessible. We continue to work to improve the accessibility of the website as part of our commitment to enabling use by the entire population, including persons with disabilities.

The website is adapted for use with leading browsers in their most up-to-date versions and for browsing on mobile devices.

How Website Accessibility Works

An accessibility menu is available on the website. Clicking the accessibility menu with the mouse, or navigating to it using the Tab key, opens the accessibility options.

Users can select the relevant accessibility adjustment from the menu. To close the menu, users may click the close button, press the Esc key on the keyboard, or click outside the menu with the mouse.

How to Browse the Website

The website structure is based on clear and convenient navigation. The menus are designed to allow easy, simple, and fast orientation throughout the website.

The content on the website is written in a simple, clear, and understandable manner as much as possible.

Users who have difficulty reading the text and wish to enlarge the display can do so by pressing the Ctrl key and the + key at the same time. Each press will increase the display size. To reduce the display size, press the Ctrl key and the – key at the same time.

Users who have difficulty using a mouse can browse the website using the keyboard. Repeated pressing of the Tab key moves between links and interactive elements on the page. Pressing Enter activates the selected link or button. Pressing Esc closes menus and windows where applicable.

For users with visual impairments, the accessibility menu allows adjustments such as increasing or decreasing font size, changing website colors, emphasizing buttons and links, and improving visibility.

The accessibility menu also includes an option to cancel accessibility adjustments and return to the regular website display.

Where videos on the website do not include spoken text or essential verbal content, captions were not added. If any video or media content includes important spoken or written information, Local Port will work to provide an accessible alternative where required.
